Meeting the Learning Outcomes

Every CAS has its own specific goals or learning outcomes to meet. Some of the outcomes, well I feel that we met as a group were:

1) Increased Awareness: This is because many of our members in this service are very confident with themselves and help out a lot. They all have their own skills and abilities and they use their abilities efficiently by helping other members of the service group to help out. Secondly some of the members are very understanding and follow the instructions quite well. As well as if a suggestion upon how to up bring this activity as in to develop it is highly important and thats the best thing about it, since may students do comment on how to do this.

2) Undertaken New Challenges: This is because some students maybe having their first encounter with such young children, so it was a challenge for few of the members to take care of the children as the students themselves have just begin to come to the secondary school. As well as in many cases when a student may not show up and has a specific role other students are quite helpful as they take in the student who was away job.

3) Planned and initiated activities: Planning is something we are good at. It is the key element we love to do as we do not want to have a bad evening with the kids. Im so proud of how this CAS plans and how everyone contributes to each other various ideas and shows initiative and commitment to making it a better community service.

4) Working Collaboratively With Others: In order for the community service, saint nicholas nursery, it is a must to work collaboratively with each other as we can not play a day of educational games or regular games, without students working collaboratively with each other. So the only way out is that we all do work collaboratively with each other. For example my role is to be at the MPH and set up various different games or toys. With that i need assistance to remove the sports equipment, get the keys from the P.E Staff room. Yes i can do all this but i currently am in IB2 and sometimes i cannot guarantee that i will be on time. So with the help of my students, the job gets done, showing the effectiveness of working collaboratively with each other.

5) Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities: Students in this CAS, show perseverance and commitment by attending to the CAS sharp at 2:30 and accepting each others role in dealing with the problems that may arise along the away.

Overall i feel that we have developed a lot since last year. Lots of skills have been developed and being used efficiently in order to help the saint nicholas children have a better, educative and healthier lifestyle.
